Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Ts. Dominic Mathew ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit dominic.strateticsxp.com. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently.

What Data We Collect

We collect the following types of data:

  • Usage analytics: page views, link clicks, session duration, and interaction patterns, associated with a browser session identifier.
  • Technical data: IP address (used for approximate geographic location), browser type, operating system, device type, and referrer information.
  • Cookies & localStorage: a session identifier to distinguish unique visits, and your cookie consent preference.

Analytics records may be linkable to a visitor through technical data such as an IP address. We do not intentionally collect your name, email address, or phone number for analytics; contact details are collected only when you voluntarily submit them through a form or contact us.

How We Use Your Data

The data we collect is used solely for:

  • Understanding how visitors interact with the site and which links are most popular.
  • Improving the user experience and content relevance.
  • Generating anonymous aggregate statistics for the admin dashboard.
  • Complying with legal obligations where required.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

This site uses:

  • Preference storage: localStorage records your cookie choice and a session identifier supports first-party visit and link counters.
  • First-party analytics: basic page visits, link clicks, approximate location, device and referrer data are recorded for the portfolio dashboard, including when you decline optional analytics.
  • Anonymous analytics (PostHog, cookieless mode): used for every visitor who has not accepted, including anyone who chooses "Stay anonymous". PostHog sets no cookie and stores no visitor ID in your browser. See "Analytics (PostHog)" below.
  • Full analytics (PostHog): a persistent identifier in a cookie or localStorage, and session replay, only after you accept.

You can change your choice at any time using the preference control below. Choosing "Stay anonymous" does not disable the first-party counters described above.

Analytics (PostHog)

We use PostHog to understand which pages and links are useful and to improve the site. We do not use advertising pixels.

Anonymous mode (default, and if you choose "Stay anonymous"): we record page views, clicks on links and buttons, scroll depth and time on page. PostHog does not set a cookie or write an identifier to your browser. It generates a temporary anonymous identifier on its servers from technical request data, which changes daily, so your visits cannot be followed across days, and, per PostHog's documentation, it does not store your IP address in this mode. No session recordings are made and no person profile is created.

Full mode (only if you accept): PostHog stores a persistent identifier in your browser to recognise repeat visits, and records session replays in which form fields are masked.

In both modes we remove names, emails, phone numbers, message text and query strings (other than campaign tags such as utm_source) from analytics events before they are sent. PostHog processes this data for us as a service provider.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • PostHog: for product analytics (anonymous by default, full analytics and session replay only with your consent).
  • ip-api.com: for approximate geolocation lookup (IP-based, anonymised).
  • Hostinger: for web hosting and database services.

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Hostinger. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

Analytics data (views and clicks) is retained indefinitely in aggregate form for historical reporting. Raw session-level data may be periodically purged. You may request deletion of your session data by contacting us with your approximate visit time and IP address.

Your Rights

Under Malaysian law and applicable data protection regulations, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data (right to be forgotten).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
  • Withdraw consent for non-essential tracking at any time.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
